Location: Watford Office – 5 Days in office
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

We’re currently looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant with proficiency in French or German (additional Western European languages a bonus) to join our dynamic finance team at our Watford office.
The Role
As a Sales Ledger Assistant, you’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts and supporting our credit control function. Your attention to detail, multilingual ability, and problem-solving skills will contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management
* Maintain accurate customer account records
* Review customer credit limits and payment history
* Support setup and maintenance of customer accounts
Invoice Processing
* Ensure timely and accurate processing and dispatch of invoices
* Follow up on outstanding payments
Payment Reconciliation
* Reconcile received payments with outstanding invoices
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Debt Recovery
* Assist in collecting overdue payments
* Contact customers regarding outstanding balances
* Escalate unresolved issues to senior staff if necessary
Reporting
* Prepare and maintain reports on receivables and aged debt
* Analyse trends and suggest areas for process improvement
Ad-Hoc Support
* Assist the credit control team with additional tasks as required
* Stay informed on industry standards and regulations
Skills & Competencies:
* Fluent in French or German
