Your contractual place of work will be Endeavour Square, Stratford. It is likely that the site will be operational from Summer 2025, and in the interim period you will be required to carry out your contractual duties from Spring Gardens, Vauxhall, or another reasonable location on a temporary basis. For the avoidance of doubt, as your contractual place of work is Endeavour Square, the move from any temporary place of work will not give rise to any entitlement to payments for travel time or costs under the Relocation and Excess Travel Policy.
You will service a number of teams across Investigation, Intelligence & Threat Leadership, contributing to court proceedings by readying exhibits for court. You will be responsible for maintaining and selecting suitable environments for exhibit storage and for ensuring the continuity of exhibits in line with exhibit policy and legislation.
Responsibilities
* Conduct relevant health and safety procedures and report issues or identified risks in accordance with health and safety legislation and Agency policy.
* Attend court and give evidence if required.
* Accurately record receipt, movement and removal of exhibits, including opening/sealing actions, using appropriate NCA systems.
* Ensure exhibits are placed into appropriate secure storage and maintain suitability of the storage medium selected.
* Record and store exhibits left in the out‑of‑hours area of the exhibit store, including the drop‑box safe, appropriately.
* Appropriately package exhibits to be sent from the exhibit store (e.g., to forensics) and accurately record the movement of the same.
* Accurately complete forensic requests on exhibits as requested by the case team.
* Select exhibits to be placed into remote storage, accurately record actions and package exhibits into storage crates, complete appropriate paperwork and liaise with the case team.
* Select exhibits due for return to subjects in line with PACE and advise the case team.
* Keep up to date with exhibit handling requirements, legislation and guidance and liaise with and participate in the Exhibits Working Group (EWG).
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous experience of exhibit management.
* Excellent knowledge of exhibit management, health and safety policies and risk management.
* Excellent understanding of UK legislation around exhibit management.
* Proven track record of managing exhibits.
* Proven experience of working to tight deadlines within a dynamic environment.
* Proven experience in effective risk management.
Security Requirements
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is a security check. Candidates will be subject to vetting and pre‑employment checks before appointment, and may also be required to complete baseline personnel security standard checks.
