The Role We’re looking for a German-speaking Commercial Manager to manage a portfolio of high-value clients in the energy trading sector in German speaking countries. You’ll be the primary commercial contact, responsible for driving revenue, identifying client needs, and delivering innovative Trayport solutions that help our clients succeed.
This is a consultative sales and account management role focused on growing existing relationships and uncovering new opportunities within your portfolio.
Manage a portfolio of prospective and active clients within the energy trading sector, serving as their primary commercial contact.
Drive revenue growth by aligning Trayport’s solutions with client needs and long-term objectives.
Proactively identify opportunities within existing accounts and generate leads through strategic account development.
Lead the full sales cycle for new products and clients, including pipeline management, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
Build and maintain a senior-level network within the client base through meetings, presentations, industry events, and Trayport-hosted engagements.
Represent the voice of the client in internal strategy discussions, contributing to long-term planning and product development.
Fluent in English and German is essential
Sales Acumene and Strong Negotiation skills
Knowledge of the energy markets and customer base

Knowledge of trading market structures. Includes market dynamics and an interest in the mechanics and operations of trading and clearing.
