We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established charitable organisation for a permanent Transport Manager based in Haslemere.

The role
As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day transport operations, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant legislation. You will play a key role in supporting the charity’s objectives by ensuring transport services operate smoothly and reliably.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing daily transport and fleet operations
2. Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, health and safety, and safeguarding requirements
3. Ensuring ongoing compliance with Operator Licence requirements
4. Leading, motivating, and developing drivers and transport staff
5. Overseeing vehicle maintenance, inspections, and scheduling
6. Managing budgets, costs, and operational efficiencies
7. Acting as the main point of contact for transport-related matters
About you
8. Proven experience in a Transport Manager or similar role
9. A valid Passenger CPC qualification (essential)
10. Strong knowledge of transport compliance and best practice
11. Excellent communication and people management skills
12. The ability to work effectively within a charitable or values-driven organisation
13. A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach
Experience within the charity or public sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
