Belmont Recruitment is currently working with a Liverpool-based local authority to recruit an experienced SEND Caseworker to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. This is a 3 month temporary contract working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities * Support schools, settings, services and families to apply the graduated approach to meeting the needs of pupils with SEND * Coordinate the statutory assessment process for children and young people with SEND * Manage the Education, Health and Care (EHC) planning process from assessment through to placement and review * Ensure all statutory timescales are met when drafting and maintaining EHC Plans * Review and monitor pupil progress against agreed outcomes * Work closely with SENCos, headteachers, and education settings to provide advice and practical support * Liaise with internal and external partners including Educational Psychology, SENISS, Occupational Therapy, Health, Children’s and Adult Social Care * Attend annual reviews for vulnerable pupils, including Looked After Children, those in Continuing Care, and pupils at risk of exclusion * Ensure children and young people are central to all planning and review processes * Support placements within Liverpool maintained settings wherever possible C...
