An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for a committed and flexible individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Early Help & Safeguarding service in the Erewash Locality based in Ilkeston. The post is 37 hours, Safeguarding, permanent based at Mercian Close, Erewash.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. The role is varied, fast-paced and the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines is essential.
What will I be doing:
1. Undertaking a wide variety of administrative tasks.
2. Ability to prepare, coordinate and take minutes at a variety of meetings, including confidential meetings.
3. Coordination of diaries and meetings.
4. Liaising within internal and external families and professionals in person, by reception, telephone and email.
5. Utilising the internal client system and general IT support to colleagues.
6. Financial tasks will include petty cash, debit card holder/charge card holder. Processing invoices and purchase orders, utilising the various internal financial systems following set financial guidance.
7. Coordination, support and assistance to recruitment process of operational staff following HR processes.
8. Dealing with incoming post and monitoring and actioning tasks in the duty mailbox
9. Supporting processes and collection of data around children in care.
10. Providing support with building maintenance and Health & Safety compliance.
11. Reception cover when necessary.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:
12. Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
13. An ability to supervise staff
14. An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
15. Experience of working in a busy office environment.
16. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
17. Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
18. An ability to interpret information and analyse data .
19. Assist and support with streamlining processes and implementation
20. An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
21. Previous financial experience would be beneficial.
22. NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience.
