This rewarding role involves ensuring school premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The successful candidate will help create a safe, tidy, and positive environment for students, staff, and visitors throughout the school day. Main Responsibilities of a Cleaner: Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school site Safely use cleaning equipment and products Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies where required Follow health and safety procedures at all times Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain tidy surroundings Report maintenance or health and safety concerns promptly Work collaboratively with school staff and site teams School Cleaner Requirements: Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good understanding of health and safety procedures Strong communication skills An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
