An exciting opportunity has developed for self-motivated enthusiastic personnel to join our Glascoed team in support of business growth. We're looking for skilled engineers to assist in development and management of a new world class manufacturing facility, the role will integrate into the Operations team to support business strategic objectives. The role is expected to work on a three week rotating shift pattern of earlies lates and nights with enhanced rates to apply. Core Duties • Operation & management of a high volume processing facility. • Monitoring and diagnosis of plant and equipment ensuring the process runs safely, efficiently and in compliance with company policy & regulatory standards. • Observe and operate control panels including Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, CCTV and other monitoring systems. • Tracking real-time data, alarms and trends to detect anomalies or deviation from routine operations. • Conducting initial diagnosis of fault conditions, and escalate to relevant support functions, reset out of sequence faults, re-homing of robots & Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV'). • Coordinate and oversee the integration of support personnel and facilities, coordinate maintenance, systems and production support to operation of the facility. • Maintain detailed logs of system activities, maintenance actions and incidents, manage Permit to Work (PTW) in area of responsibility & coordinate management of change. • Execute emergency shutdown procedures if required, assist in coordinating emergency response protocol. Skills • Experience in operations & monitoring systems in a control room environment. • Proficiency and understanding of PLC systems, SCADA or Siemens TIA portal is advantageous. • Understanding of robotics/automation within multiple operational environments. • Sound understanding of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plans, (PCP), and work instructions. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential This role requires a high level of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
