We want to hear from you!We're currently recruiting for an additional SEND Teaching Assistant with strong SEMH experience to join a vibrant mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Hounslow. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people, particularly at Key Stage 4. Position Details

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant (SEMH Focus) Location: Mainstream secondary school, Hounslow Start Date: ASAP Salary: £500.00 per week

You'll be joining a dedicated SEND team with strong leadership and a positive working culture.

Your Role

You will play a key role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, with a particular focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will ideally have experience supporting students at Key Stage 4 and be confident assisting in Maths or English.Your day-to-day duties will include:

* Providing in-class support to SEND students, particularly at KS4
* Supporting students with SEMH needs using effective behaviour regulation strategies
* Assisting with learning in core subjects, ideally Maths or English
* Promoting positive engagement, resilience, and wellbeing
* Supporting students during break times, lunch, trips, and extra-curricular activities
* Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to secure the best possible outcomes
What We're Looking For
* Strong experience supporting students with SEMH needs
* Experience working with KS4 students (essential)
* Ideally experience supporting Maths or English at secondary level
* A calm, resilient, and proactive approach
* Excellent communication skills and strong emotional intelligence
* Previous experience in education, alternative provision, youth work, social care, or similar settings
