Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Current HCPC Registration
2. Minimum 2 years Ultrasound experience within the NHS
3. Experience in performing/reporting the following sonographic examinations: Abdominal, Renal, Gynaecology, (Transvaginal, Transabdominal)
4. Experience in Gynae required
Duties of this role include:
5. To actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high quality ultrasound service to all patients
6. To carry out diagnostic ultrasound scans within their scope of competence as agreed with the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead to high technical and quality standards.
7. Manage the designated working area and ensure that it is tidy, clean and efficiently run.
8. Use initiative to prioritise, deliver and time-manage workload effectively.
9. As requested, assist clinical modality leads to plan and maintain an effective work flow within the department.
10. Ensure that the sonography examination results meet the clinic standard for quality assurance before findings are released for interpretation.
11. Function as a technical or clinical leader/expert in sonography.
12. Accountable for the creation, oversight, and implementation of scanning protocols and quality control activities
13. Provide technical, image quality, and accuracy oversight for the assessment of sonography examinations.
14. Ensure that appropriate accreditation is secured and maintained.
15. Carry out quality assurance protocols and quality improvement measures.
16. Pursue and maintain cutting-edge technical and clinical updates.
17. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers, administrators, and other members of the external health care providers.
18. Responsible for day-to-day operation of sonography services within the clinic.
19. Sonography education, training, and experience in Gynaecology ultrasound.
