Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled and self‑motivated Senior Technician to join our Design & Manufacturing technical team. This is a hands‑on role supporting our vibrant community of Design and Engineering students as they develop both aesthetic and functional models across a wide range of projects. The post is initially for two years, with the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality, practical support across design and manufacturing workshops.
* Work in close partnership with academic and technical colleagues to motivate and inspire students at every level of study.
* Provide expert supervision and mentorship, whether one‑to‑one or with small groups.
* Ensure that students can successfully interpret technical drawings and complete their manufacturing projects to a professional standard.
* Help shape an inspiring, hands‑on educational environment where innovation and curiosity thrive.
