GCSE Maths Tutor (Outreach – Bromley)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic GCSE Maths Tutor to deliver tailored 1:1 tuition to students not currently attending mainstream education or students who are requiring after school support in the Bromley area.
As a GCSE Maths Tutor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering personalised lessons that target gaps in knowledge, build student confidence, and support academic progress. This role is ideal for an experienced Maths teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity outside the traditional classroom setting. Additionally, this role is ideal for those looking for additional hours after the school day has finished.
Many of the students you will support may have been out of education for an extended period and could be facing challenges with engagement and confidence. Your role will be instrumental in helping them re-engage with learning and establishing a positive, structured routine.
Prospero Teaching will provide ongoing support and regularly review student progress to ensure the effectiveness of each tuition package.

1. Location – Bromley and surrounding areas
2. Position – GCSE Maths Tutor (Outreach)

4. Start date – ASAP
5. Duration / Likely Duration – Dependent on each student’s needs
6. End date (if applicable) – N/A
7. Contract type – Temporary
8. Full time/part time – Flexible (daytime or after-school hours available)
9. Minimum rate of pay – £25 per hour
10. Hours – Minimum 1 hour per session, up to 3 hours per session
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
11. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
12. Minimum of 6 months UK school-based experience
13. Recent safeguarding training (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
14. Have the Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
16. Be able to provide two child-related professional references covering the last two years
