Lead Manufacturing Engineering Manager Role Purpose
The Lead Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee the Manufacturing Engineering Team activities and develop capabilities to meet business needs.
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, this role will establish a global network of efficient, high-quality manufacturing facilities close to markets.
You should be an excellent communicator, driven, and committed to quality and continuous improvement. Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, production processes, and lean manufacturing is preferred.
This is a data-driven role that enables robust change management and decision making.
Candidate Requirements (but not limited to)
* Natural leader and change manager
* 5+ years of relevant experience leading Manufacturing Engineering/Operations Excellence teams
* Experience in performance management systems
* Knowledge of lean methodologies, formal training preferred (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
* Proven skills in process development tools (D+PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs)
* Excellent collaboration skills
* Ability to manage projects, budgets, and resources effectively
* Strong communication skills, able to engage one-on-one and in groups
* Data analysis skills and structured decision-making ability
* Willingness to learn and adapt, capable of managing multiple priorities
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse Manufacturing Engineering team in a fast-paced environment
* Analyze current methods, drive KPIs, and implement improvements
* Lead continuous improvement projects and change management initiatives
* Foster a culture of CI and develop team skills in key tools and techniques
* Develop and implement production layouts, value streams, and standardization plans
* Support global standardization and best practice sharing
* Create training materials and deliver workshops
* Support cost reduction initiatives
* Utilize SQCDP framework to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people metrics
