We are seeking a proactive and positive HSE Coordinator to support the regional HSE Manager with daily site activities. This hands-on role involves engaging with the workforce and influencing safety culture, working closely with various departments and senior leadership to foster a proactive safety environment. You will gain exposure to site projects and share best practices across the group.
This position suits a confident safety professional capable of working independently, eager to grow and develop with the company. The role is supported by the HSE Manager, Head of HSE, and the wider team.
Vacancy Overview:
1. Assist in developing and updating health, safety, and environment policies and procedures.
2. Communicate and ensure understanding of policies among all employees.
3. Work with departments to integrate safety requirements into daily operations.
4. Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards.
5. Assess risks and recommend control measures.
6. Deliver health and safety training, including inductions for new employees.
7. Create educational materials to promote safety awareness.
8. Facilitate incident reporting and lead investigations to find root causes.
9. Maintain accurate incident records and develop prevention strategies.
10. Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
11. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external inspections.
12. Organize emergency drills and maintain emergency equipment.
13. Analyze safety data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
14. Prepare reports for management review.
15. Collaborate on safety initiatives and participate in safety committees.
16. Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety (Essential)
* Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 (Desirable)
* 1-3 years of HSE experience
* Experience in manufacturing or logistics, preferably in food, beverage, bakery, agriculture, paper, or packaging sectors
