The Senior ServiceNow Developer supports both internal enterprise and customer-facing instances of the ServiceNow platform. This role operates across Agile squads, mentoring team members, delivering platform support, driving regular enhancements, and ensuring strict platform standards are maintained. The position has a strong focus on advanced development, integration, continuous delivery, and the maintenance of core modules alongside cutting-edge, AI-driven capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Core & Advanced Development : Design, develop, and implement technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform across modules including ITSM, CSM, FSM, and SecOps.
AI-Driven Innovation : Configure, tune, and maintain advanced platform capabilities including generative AI, autonomous agent orchestration for workflow execution, decision automation, and predictive/task intelligence.
AI Governance: Monitor AI model performance, bias, drift, and general platform governance to align with responsible enterprise AI standards.
Integrations : Develop and manage RESTful API integrations (both inbound and outbound) with third-party systems, including authentication, data transformations, and error handling.
Platform Customization : Customize enterprise applications using JavaScript and standard scripting models (Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Studio, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub).
Agile Collaboration : Attend sprint reviews to track deployment progress against implementation timelines, collaborating closely with infrastructure, security, cross-functional stakeholders, and partners.
Maintenance & Best Practices : Maintain technical documentation of configurations, customizations, and development practices while keeping up-to-date with platform releases.
Knowledge, Education, Skills and Experience
Experience : Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience developing directly on the ServiceNow platform.
Core Processes : Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Request, Knowledge) and working knowledge of ITOM components (Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, Service Mapping).
Advanced Modules: Demonstrated experience with CSM, Service Bridge, and ML Ops principles for AI model lifecycle management.
Web Development: Experience with Service Portal development, including HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and Glide scripting.
Technical Components : Familiarity with Integration Hub, MID Servers, scoped app development, and relational database/CMDB architectures.
Methodologies : Comfortable working within DevOps and Agile/Scrum environments with standard version control systems (e.g., Git).
Certifications Required: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), and Certified Implementation Specialist (in ITSM or CSM at minimum). xsngvjr
Desirable : ITIL v4 Practitioner level or above, training in Agile methodologies, and familiarity with LLM-based workflow orchestration, NLU/NLP, or vector search technologies.
