Social Worker
Join the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) as a full‑time, permanent Social Worker based in Maidenhead, Berkshire. This role is part of both the Hospital and Community teams, with hybrid working available to support a balanced schedule.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to support adults in living independently and safely. You will assess needs, coordinate care, safeguard wellbeing, and work closely with individuals, families, and partner agencies to promote dignity, choice, and empowerment.
Responsibilities
* Support and advocacy for vulnerable adults, including those with age, disability, illness, or mental health challenges.
* Assessment and planning to develop tailored, person‑centred care plans that enhance wellbeing and safety.
* Safeguarding to protect adults from abuse, neglect, or exploitation, working with other agencies when risks are identified.
* Coordination with families, carers, health professionals, and community services to ensure holistic support.
* Empowerment to promote choice and control, helping people understand their rights and access services.
Qualifications3>
* Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
* Strengths‑based assessment skills with the ability to develop person‑centred care plans.
* Solid understanding of adult safeguarding procedures and legislation (e.g., Care Act 2014).
* Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with individuals, families, and multi‑agency teams.
* Resilience to manage complex cases, maintain professional boundaries, and adapt to changing demands.
