Overview

We're looking for 4 kind, compassionate and resilient Support Workers to join our Young People Service in Bracknell. Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. The working hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with the same shifts applying on weekends. This is not an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time and is subject to change in accordance with the needs of Look Ahead.


Responsibilities

* Provide support to customers to help them develop life skills and meet assessed needs.
* Promote social inclusion and assist in promoting independent living with the team.
* Encourage customers to maximise their skills and choices.
* Engage with customers in line with individual care plans and organisational values.


What you'll bring

* Essential: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in the social care/charity sector
* Desirable: Experience working with young people

* Approachable and open behaviour; works well in a team.
* Calm and resilient; maintains composure and good judgement.
* Organised with a practical and logical mind; flexible and able to adapt to change.
* Customer-focused with a can-do attitude; able to cope with challenging and diverse behaviours.

* Salary: £28,808.00 per annum, 40 hours per week.
