Introduction

As Subsea7 continues to successfully deliver client projects around the world, we are creating exciting new career opportunities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager (PCM) to deploy and lead project control systems throughout our Pipeline Group (PG) business area, including tendering activity and portfolio delivery.

The successful candidate will demonstrate proven leadership in a similar role, commercial acumen, and the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the business.

Our preferred location for this role is within our UK Pipeline Group centre in Glasgow. Other Subsea7 locations in Aberdeen, Sutton, and Paris may also be considered.

What will you be doing?

The PCM will promote and maximize the use of digital tools, systems, and data to ensure efficient and effective utilization or transfer of data between systems.

They will interface with Regional Project Control Managers to ensure PG processes are aligned with the rest of the business.

Continuous collaboration will be maintained across the business, including with senior management, package managers, discipline team leaders (e.g., vessels, SCM, tendering, cost control), and external contractors.

The role has two direct reports who lead a team of Project Planners and Document Controllers. The PCM will employ effective leadership to inspire team dynamics and empower team development.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Ensure the robust application of the Project Control systems across all PG portfolio projects, including planning, document control, cost estimating/monitoring, and risk management.
* Align PG with all Group Digitalisation tools and initiatives, establishing continuous improvement.
* Develop and enhance Project Control tools and processes in collaboration with PG Functions and Projects to improve predictable performance.
* Manage the PG Project Control resources.
* Develop and maintain tools to measure progress, people utilization, resourcing, and productivity.
* Monitor performance across PG projects to identify potential issues and support cost efficiency initiatives.
* Analyze cost and schedule data to generate trend reports, forecasts, and early alerts for management.
* Evaluate KPI data to provide summaries and actionable recommendations to PG Management.
* Implement and manage review processes for portfolio alignment of CTRs, bay day utilization, vessel schedules, and cost forecasting.
* Oversee the PG Integrated Schedule to identify critical interfaces and congestion.
* Lead the implementation of dashboards to provide PG Leaders and Management with insights into portfolio delivery and LTF submissions.
* Support Package Delivery Managers/Leads during PGMR processes.
* Manage, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and setting clear goals and expectations.
* Encourage self-development and ownership of tasks, delegating appropriately and providing guidance for learning and progression.
* Align with the Company’s Vision, Values, and Strategy, promoting continuous improvement.
* Undertake planned UK and overseas travel as required.

Desired Experience:

* Proven track record in Project Control management.
* Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project; Power BI experience is a plus.
* Energy industry experience is preferred but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
* Ability to build relationships across a multicultural, global workforce.
* Excellent planning, analytical, and data presentation skills.
