Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive LeadManufacturing Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team. This role leads the manufacturingactivities, focusing on optimising manufacturing processes, improving product quality and the industrialisation of new product introductions into production. * Lead the manufacturing engineering activities within the business unit.
* Develop manufacturing processes to maximise quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Drive strong process control and process capability across all manufacturing operations
* Support and execute the industrialization of New Product Introductions (NPI), including the development of production processes, tooling, work instructions, and validation plans
* Apply APQP processes to ensure product and process readiness for manufacturing and timely delivery.
* Lead the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) to verify that product designs and manufacturing processes meet specifications and are capable of mass production.
* Define, document, and maintain robust manufacturing process controls including routings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Lead Manufacturing Engineer Skills & Experience
* Hands on experience with metal forming processes (forging, rolling, extrusion, stamping and/or bending)
* Proven team leadership experience
* Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar
* Practical experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving.
