Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Massage Therapist to join our medical spa team. This role provides support to licensed massage therapists by assisting with client care, preparing treatment areas, and ensuring a smooth and relaxing experience for clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patient service, anatomy, and physiology, with a passion for promoting wellness and pain relief. Responsibilities
* Assist licensed massage therapists during client sessions by preparing treatment rooms and supplies
* Support with patient assessment to identify client needs and preferences
* Perform basic massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy under supervision
* Educate clients on post-treatment care and occupational health practices
* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards of treatment areas and equipment
* Manage appointment scheduling and ensure timely client flow
* Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming and relaxing environment
* Document treatment details accurately using medical terminology and client records
* Support the team in maintaining compliance with health regulations and safety protocols
Experience
* Prior experience in patient service or customer service roles preferred
* Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology highly desirable
* Experience with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, or pain management techniques is a plus
* Background in occupational health or med spa settings is advantageous
* Familiarity with anatomy knowledge and medical terminology enhances effectiveness in supporting licensed therapists
* Previous internship or entry-level experience in massage therapy or related fields is welcomed but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
