About the Role
We are looking for a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our workshop team. Ideally, you will already hold an MOT Testing licence, however training and MOT qualification support can be provided for the right person. You'll be working on a broad mix of vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and MOTs, making this an ideal role for a strong all-round technician who enjoys variety and hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
* Perform MOT testing in line with DVSA standards (if qualified)
* Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment
* Complete repairs including brakes, clutches, timing belts/chains, gearboxes, exhausts, and tyres
* Carry out occasional welding work (limited)
* Maintain accurate job cards and service records
* Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and customer-ready
* Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
What We're Looking For
* Experienced Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
* MOT Testing licence preferred (training provided if not held)
* Level 3 qualification preferred
* Minimum 4–5 years' experience in a workshop environment
* Strong all-round mechanical and diagnostic skills
* Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude
* Full UK driving licence
