If you are eager to advance your career and make a meaningful impact, apply now to be part of our dedicated team at Circle Cheshire Clinic.</p><h3>Duties of this role include:</h3><ul><li>Carry out Mohs technical procedures including tissue preparation, inking, orientation, frozen section cutting, staining, and slide preparation to support real-time clinical decision‑making.</li><li>Provide accurate, timely, and high‑quality diagnostic support to clinicians, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.</li><li>Assist in the provision of reliable and accurate analytical data in line with ISO 15189 standards.</li><li>Be responsible for the organisation, coordination, and day‑to‑day management of the Mohs laboratory service.</li><li>Ensure the effective delivery of a patient‑focused, efficient Mohs service in collaboration with Dermatology and Histopathology teams.</li><li>Take responsibility for all technical aspects of the Mohs service, including equipment management, maintenance scheduling, stock control, and consumables.</li><li>Maintain all associated departmental documentation, records, SOPs, and quality assurance documentation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO 15189, UKAS, Health & Safety legislation, and local governance frameworks.</li><li>Participate in internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service evaluations.</li><li>Support the investigation of incidents, near misses, and non‑conformances, ensuring learning is embedded into practice.</li></ul><h3>Applicants should meet the following criteria:</h3><ul><li>HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.</li><li>MSc (or working towards) in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent qualification.</li><li>Specialist Portfolio in Cellular Pathology.</li><li>Significant experience working in a Cellular Pathology / Histopathology laboratory.</li><li>Demonstrated competence in Mohs micrographic surgery techniques.</li><li>Strong understanding of ISO 15189 standards and UKAS accreditation requirements.</li><li>Experience in quality assurance, audit, and documentation control.</li><li>Excellent organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.</li></ul><h3>Salary & Benefits:</h3><p>Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate.</p><p>Benefits include private medical cover, flexible working hours, wellbeing support, and career development opportunities.</p></div>
