Job Title: IT Support AnalystJob Sector: Semiconductor / TechnologyJob Type: ContractDuration: 6 MonthsLocation: Cambridge, UKThis role is working with a Korean consumer electronics company.To support wider corporate programmes in artificial intelligence, our Cambridge-based team is expanding across research, engineering, and design disciplines. We work in close collaboration with leading universities to drive forward mutual research goals and innovation.Key Responsibilities:Set up and configure Windows laptopsTroubleshoot proxy issues and manage rules via GUITroubleshoot Windows, Outlook, and other common softwareDeliver induction sessions for new startersManage assets via the Service Desk PortalLog and respond to incidents/requests using the IT Helpdesk platformCreate and manage user accountsAdminister security tools (e.g. NASCA, ESCORT)Write and maintain user-facing FAQ/How-To guides on ConfluenceProvide one-to-one support where necessaryInvestigate incidents proactively and resolve issues on affected systemsIdentify root causes of incidents and communicate updates to usersCoordinate with the centre’s IT Engineer to test system changesEnsure sufficient IT stock is available to support the centre’s needsSkills and Experience:Experience with Windows and Linux operating systemsKnowledge of Symantec AntivirusPC installation, setup, and troubleshootingBasic understanding of Active DirectoryNetworking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)Understanding of firewalls and proxy serversIf you’re interested in learning more, please reach out to daniel@microtech-global.com
