Job Specification - Maintenance Manager (Electrical Bias)Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong electrical bias to oversee engineering operations within a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead the maintenance function, ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the site maintenance function with a strong focus on electrical systems.
* Oversee and support a team of 12 engineers (6 per shift).
* Ensure all plant equipment is maintained to maximise uptime and operational efficiency.
* Diagnose faults, coordinate repairs, and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
* Maintain and support key production machinery including:
o Granulators
o Weighers and silos
o Production presses
Experience, Skills & QualificationsEssential
* Recognised Electrical Engineering qualifications.
* Strong electrical bias within maintenance engineering.
* Experience within a Food or FMCG manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience leading or supervising engineering teams.
Desirable
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Experience within animal feed manufacturing (highly advantageous).
Department Structure
* 12 engineers within the maintenance team.
* Engineers report into the Engineering Manager, with the Maintenance Manager supporting team oversight and operational delivery.
Package
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000Overtime / Shift Allowance: TBC
