First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Yard Operative/HGV Driver on behalf of one of our fantastic clients based in Bedfordshire.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Move vehicles to the workshop and around the yard when required.
2. Take vehicles for MOT’s.
3. Valet the vehicles ready to be collected by the customer or delivered to the customer.
4. Ensure all additional equipment for the delivery is in place.
5. Ensuring all paperwork is correct if required.
6. High standard of housekeeping in the workshop and yard area to be maintained.
7. Flexible work ethic · Attention to detail. · Occasional night away may be required.
8. Effective communication skills · Forklift operation, assist with parts where necessary.
9. Deliveries and collections to and from customers and suppliers. HGV’s and parts
10. Assist in exhibition set up, logistics etc.
11. Assist with the stock take
Skills and Qualifications:
12. HGV 2 licence
13. Experience working in a similar industry desirable but not essential.
14. Experience of working in a workshop environment would be an advantage.
15. To always work safely and in accordance with the company’s health and safety procedures. Precautions should be taken as necessary when visiting sites, adopting the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
