Commissioning Support Agent
Location: Wigan, Hybrid
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Rotating shift pattern between 08:00-20:00, Monday-Friday, plus Saturday cover on a 1-in-8-week rota. (Saturday is paid at time and a half overtime rate).

Calisen Metering, part of the Calisen Group, is in an exciting phase of growth and development across all areas of the business. We’re looking for a Commissioning Support Agent to join our Deprogramming Team within the Metering Operations department.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and becoming a subject matter expert. You’ll play a key part in supporting our commissioning process, working closely with engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.

What You’ll Do:
13. Become a SME (subject matter expert) in the onsite commissioning process across key suppliers.
14. Understand the functionality and setup of each DCC adaptor used by suppliers.
15. Provide direct support to Calisen Field Engineers for escalated commissioning queries.
16. Act as a point of contact for suppliers and internal teams regarding commissioning issues.
17. Manage inbound/outbound calls with customers to arrange follow-up visits.
18. Escalate major service issues to internal stakeholders.
19. Assist with invoicing disputes by evidencing steps taken onsite.
20. Perform ad hoc analysis on commissioning data when required.
What We’re Looking For:
21. Minimum GCSE-level education (including English & Maths) or equivalent; higher-level qualifications (A-levels, degree) are desirable.
22. Experience in a similar commissioning role is preferred; utility metering experience is advantageous but not essential.
23. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels.
24. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
25. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs).
26. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
