As a Geography Teacher, you will create engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper awareness of global issues. Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, preparing students for assessments and examinations Encourage students to develop analytical and critical thinking skills Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development Support students’ academic and personal development Geography Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A degree in Geography or a related subject Experience teaching Geography in a school setting is desirable Strong classroom management and communication skills A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
