Description About the role: We are seeking an Associate to join us within our asset management team and occupier team based in Birmingham. You will be working as part of a busy team, supporting and working closely with a Partner or other senior team members. You will be managing your own files and will have direct contact with clients and agents to provide asset management services to investors. Your work will involve a whole range of leasehold transactions including granting new leases, renewals, surrenders, re-gears, dealing with landlord's and/tenant's works, licences and wayleaves. There will be opportunity to do freehold acquisition and disposal work. We may also ask you to support on large acquisition or financing transactions involving a large number of the team. You will also liaise with our other real estate teams to help co-ordinate a broad service to our clients. The role may also involve supporting some of our occupier clients, including telecoms operators. We are committed to providing excellent client service in accordance with KPIs. We aim to provide timely and pragmatic advice to clients and to build and maintain strong client relationships. About you: Ideally, we would be looking for up to 12 month's experience in handling landlord and tenant work, but we will consider an NQ who has had good transactional real estate experience as a trainee; Strong communication skills both in terms of delivering written and verbal advice, including obtaining instructions from experienced property professionals and demonstrating a willingness to communicate over the telephone (not always relying on email); Maintaining and developing client relationships; Demonstrating a keen interest to learn about our clients' businesses and to provide practical solutions to drive transactions forward; Well organised, good diary management and tech skills; and The ability to handle the financial aspects of delivering our service, such as effective time recording, managing billing and cash collection.
