Our client, a well-established family-run automotive business with a heritage dating back to the early 1900s, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team in Ashford, Kent. Duties
* Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models
* Conducting complex engine repairs and electrical system diagnostics
* Utilizing computerised diagnostic tools and modern equipment in a paperless working environment
* Assisting with recovery, collection, and delivery tasks when required
* Upholding high standards of quality and customer service
* Collaborating with team members and supporting fellow technicians in daily operations
Requirements
* Proven experience in vehicle repairs, diagnostics, or electrical systems
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent recognised qualifications
* Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle systems is highly desirable
* Basic electrical knowledge and strong problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating good communication skills
* Willingness to develop further skills through manufacturer‑led training
* Computer literacy, including experience with diagnostic tools and electronic documentation
