There are two opportunities available: • One role supporting children with complex social and communication needs within an enhanced provision setting • One classroom-based role supporting a child on a 1:1 basis with a medical need No two days will look exactly the same, and that’s part of the magic. Whether you're helping a child build confidence, supporting learning or simply being the calm and reassuring presence they need, you'll play a huge part in helping children feel safe, happy and ready to learn. What you'll be doing: • Providing individual and small group support to children across the school day • Supporting pupils with social, communication and additional needs • Assisting with personal care and medical support where required • Helping children access learning in a positive and engaging way • Promoting independence while offering reassurance and encouragement • Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing • Working closely with teachers and other professionals to create consistency for children We're looking for someone who: • Is passionate about helping children achieve their best • Has a genuine, caring and nurturing approach • Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare • Can adapt quickly and remain calm when plans change unexpectedly • Is physically fit and comfortable with manual handling requirements • Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy • Treats every child with dignity, respect and kindness • Can build positive relationships with children and staff alike Experience supporting children with SEND, social communication needs or medical needs would be helpful, but a warm approach and willingness to learn are just as important.
