We’re looking for a Life Cycle Consultant – Aftermarket to join a global leader in diesel and gas engine solutions. Joining the Industrial Power Systems Division, you will help shape the aftermarket success of cutting-edge engine solutions, supporting parts and service growth from product launch through to legacy support.
Your Role – Drive Value Through the Product Life Cycle
As an Aftermarket Life Cycle Consultant, you'll play a critical role in supporting major New Product Introductions (NPIs) and product phase-outs. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, and Aftermarket teams to ensure our aftermarket services are competitive, customer-centric, and continuously evolving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead aftermarket deliverables for NPI and product deletions, ensuring alignment with product strategy, timelines, and budget.
* Develop and improve repair options to boost parts sales and drive aftermarket growth.
* Optimise branding, IP, supplier agreements, design changes, service, and overhaul throughout the product lifecycle.
* Collaborate on innovative aftermarket business cases and drive them to successful market launch.
* Influence product design by integrating aftermarket needs early in development.
* Monitor and adjust parts service levels to maximise availability and sales potential.
* Deliver data-driven insights that support continuous improvement and long-term success.
What You’ll Bring
* Engineering or technical background with strong commercial awareness – able to interpret technical diagrams and assess market impact.
* Experience in off-highway, automotive, or other complex product industries.
* Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and communicate effectively across all levels.
* Deep understanding of NPI, aftermarket operations, branding, design changes, and parts marketing.
* Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Familiarity with tools like Teamcenter and large data analysis for strategic planning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
* Proven record in lifecycle management, continuous improvement, and delivering aftermarket growth.
* Strong organisational, time management, and change leadership skills.
