Responsibilities
* Co-ordinate assigned trade groups including sub-contractors.
* Ensure the safe working of the personnel under his/her coordination in accordance with all applicable regulations.
* Ensure that activities are carried out in the most productive and safe manner.
* Produce work orders, order spares and materials as required.
* Produce time sheets for input and resolve discrepancies with the client (Report concerns to the company Contracts management).
* Ensure that the appropriate work order numbers have been allocated.
* Ensure any change in work scope is recorded and approved by the client in writing and information given back to the Management Team for commercial recovery.
* Carry out risk assessments and provide method statements for work as necessary.
* Undertake discipline procedures as necessary.
* Testing, inspection, and fault finding of electrical equipment.
* Lead by example in encouraging teamwork and a culture of Continuous Improvement.
* Ensure that the relevant work permits are available and ensure that all tradesmen are instructed in same.
* Be prepared to work outside normal working hours and provide call-out.
* Ensure full utilization of workshop equipment, space, and personnel.
* Organise outside contractor assistance when required.
* Ensure safety of all personnel within the work areas by enforcing strict compliance with the wearing of designated PPE.
* Ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained.
* Initiate the maintenance schedule for all plant and equipment.
* Furnish information back on the status of work executed by the engineering team.
* Maintain service records for all registered equipment.
* Other duties as defined from time to time by management.
Location
We are looking for people based in the Ellesmere Port area, Wrexham area and Chester area.
Qualifications
* A full UK driving licence.
* NVQ level 3 and City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification.
* City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing (Not essential but desirable).
* 17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
* A good level of IT literacy.
* An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
* Control productivity, safety, and discipline of the engineering team.
* IPAF and PASMA are not essential but desirable.
* Strong planning, organisational and decision-making capabilities.
* Leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Strong work ethic; punctual and self-motivated.
* Management/supervisory experience.
