Salary: JNC 13 to 16 £30,896 to £33,631

Location of post: Allocated school

About the role

We are currently seeking a Cynnydd Youth Engagement Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with children and young people to improve their engagement in education. They will hold a caseload, plan, facilitate, monitor and evaluate a range of interventions to support the needs of children and young people in a strengths-based person-centred approach.

This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. A full time until 31st March 2026.

This post will target children and young people most at risk of disengagement from education and therefore, by association, be at the highest risk of becoming not in education, employment of training (NEET).

You will have experience in/of:

* Engaging with young people in order to build positive relationships in a school setting.
* Experience of delivering a range of interventions in order to address areas of concern, linked to disengagement and behavioural needs.
* Experience of adopting a multi-agency approach in order to best support the young people and their families.


About you

This post requires a formal qualification e.g. a Youth Work qualification or equivalent.

* Level 4 Teaching Assistant
* Roles that include working with young people who have complex additional learning needs
