Overview
Solution Architect (DV Security Clearance) role at CGI. You will design and define high-value, secure, and scalable ICT solutions for a Defence client, contribute to mission success, and support bid and delivery efforts within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist architectural leadership across your domain to shape solutions for Defence ICT transformation programmes.
* Design, develop, and document innovative technical options aligned with client requirements and CGI’s system integration approach.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts across hosting, networks, applications, workplace services, and testing.
* Produce professional artefacts for major bids and ensure solutions are technically sound and commercially competitive.
* Provide effort and cost modelling to underpin bid submissions.
* Work with CGI and partner teams to ensure cohesive system architecture.
* Apply Defence and Enterprise Systems experience to drive innovation and resilience.
Qualifications
* Experience in Defence ICT programmes and Enterprise Business Systems.
* Strong proficiency in solution architecture and design processes.
* Proven ability to contribute professional artefacts for major bids/programmes.
* Specialist expertise in at least one of: Windows/Server Core Apps (Exchange, Teams, VDI), Network Design/Firewalls, or Cloud Hosting of Enterprise Systems.
Desirable qualifications
* Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (NSX, vRealize, ARIA).
* Knowledge of Defence networking and firewall environments.
* Experience with Workplace Apps (Teams, SharePoint), storage/backup solutions, or application integration/packaging.
Additional information
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need UK Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it. This position will have frequent onsite commitments in Reading and Chippenham.
