Are you a registered Children’s Nurse with a passion for teaching and education, do you enjoy enhancing the learning experience of both our future and current workforce?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Clinical Practice Educator Team as a ward‑based Children’s Clinical Practice Educator. This pivotal role will focus on delivering education and training to support our Registered Nurses and learners across the Children’s ward and Children’s Emergency Unit (CEU) to support their career journey from entry to expert. The postholder will be Children’s NMC registered and will work closely with the CPE leads, linking into the academy to support high quality educational services to enhance the care of children across the two units. As the successful candidate you will promote a positive learning experience for learners using methods of teaching, coaching and supervision and provide support and training for both registered and unregistered staff. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Ward Managers, Matrons, Practice assessors/supervisors and AHPs to ensure robust oversight of the training and development needs for their areas of responsibility. As a role model you will promote the sharing of good practice, delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care underpinned by the NMC standards.
Qualifications and Expectations
 * Previous experience in supporting learners/students on placement and in the classroom
 * A passion for championing a positive learning environment for students and educators
 * Enjoys working in a varied environment, engaging with different teams and stakeholders
