Job Title: Lead Global Solutions Architect / Infrastructure Architect
Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects, software, data, cloud and security engineers, and business product owners to establish solution architecture designs for cloud and on‑premises technology solutions, infrastructure and tools.
2. Design and document end‑to‑end architectures that provide enterprise business capabilities, technology services, data, cloud, infrastructure and AI solutions.
3. Construct high‑quality architectural artefacts that support robust, reusable, scalable and secure technology solutions, leveraging approved component architecture standards, architectural patterns and reference architectures.
4. Follow and promote best practices for creating and delivering architecture artefacts, ensuring they are clear, consistent and aligned with enterprise standards.
5. Document, maintain and evolve architecture standards, contributing actively to the architecture repository to drive reuse and consistency across the organisation.
6. Facilitate and support architecture review board processes, including preparation of materials, presentation of solutions and obtaining approvals.
7. Serve as an architecture advisor and validator during build, test, validate, deploy and operate stages, ensuring solutions remain aligned with agreed designs.
8. Provide hands‑on guidance to delivery teams to enable standards‑aligned solution delivery and successful project execution.
9. Design APIs and data delivery services to support critical operational processes, analytical models and machine learning applications.
10. Apply thorough knowledge of OpenAPI Specification, REST, API design, security and implementation to create secure and scalable integration solutions.
11. Evaluate and rapidly grasp modern technologies and emerging trends, assessing their applicability to business challenges and contributing to project requirements.
12. Continuously learn and keep pace with advances in solution architecture, infrastructure and cloud technologies, sharing insights with peers and stakeholders.
13. Receive, provide and address constructive feedback on architectural artefacts produced by yourself and peers, actively driving continuous improvement.
14. Manage stakeholder communication effectively, presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way for non‑technical audiences.
15. Demonstrate leadership within project teams, supporting team‑building efforts and fostering effective collaboration across global, cross‑functional groups.
16. Apply strong analytical, critical and strategic thinking to shape solution options, resolve architectural issues and support decision‑making.
17. Manage conflicts within the project context constructively, balancing competing priorities and constraints to achieve successful outcomes.
18. Prioritise work effectively to meet tight deadlines and support multiple initiatives running in parallel.
19. Contribute infrastructure and architecture expertise to initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration of platforms and services.
Essential Skills
20. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, MIS or equivalent experience.
21. Architecture certifications and platform certifications, such as AWS or Microsoft.
22. Eight years of collective experience in technology solution design, software engineering and working with agile and waterfall methodologies.
23. Four years of experience architecting, building and administering complex solution architectures and technologies in both on‑premises and cloud environments.
24. Strong technical domain knowledge across infrastructure, cloud, data, AI and enterprise technology services.
25. Proven experience designing and governing solution architectures for cloud and on‑premises platforms, including infrastructure and tools.
26. Strong analytical, critical and strategic thinking skills with a track record of successful execution.
27. Ability to work independently while contributing to successful project outcomes in complex environments.
28. Demonstrated leadership and team‑building abilities within multi‑disciplinary technology teams.
29. Competence in managing conflict effectively within a project context and reaching constructive resolutions.
30. Proven ability to influence and sell ideas and solutions to a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.
31. Excellent communication, relationship‑building and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
32. Strong prioritisation and time‑management skills to meet tight deadlines across multiple initiatives.
