Join Our Team as a Physiotherapy Assistant - 30 Hours per Week

Location: Chippenham Community Hospital Outpatient Physiotherapy Department

Are you passionate about helping people on their journey to recovery? Do you want to be part of a supportive and dynamic team that prioritizes patient care?

We are looking for a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our friendly Outpatient Physiotherapy team at Chippenham Community Hospital.

What you'll be doing:

* Supporting individuals through their rehabilitation journey, working within clearly defined protocols and guidelines.
* Delivering treatments and exercises based on the Physiotherapists' plan and patient goals.
* Assisting patients both one-on-one and in group settings.


Main duties of the job

* Work within the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary Team.
* Deliver treatments following the Physiotherapist's specified plan and patient's rehabilitation goals.
* Operate within a competency framework, including some electrotherapy modalities as instructed by the physiotherapist.
* Ensure patient-centered care with active participation from patients and carers in decision-making.
* Support daily rehabilitation of delegated patients.
* Deliver group treatments as per class schedule under supervision.
* Practice in accordance with Trust policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Minimum qualifications and skills:

* NVQ Level 3 in healthcare or equivalent
* Good general education
* Experience in healthcare settings and supporting others
* Confidentiality awareness
* Teamwork and patient-focused care skills
* Ability to recognize own limitations
* Typing and data input skills
* Moving and handling skills
* Specific nursing/therapy skills
* Valid driving license and car
* Self-motivated with good time management
* Open, honest, and innovative attitude
