Job Summary
Salary: From 32,000 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 37.5 Hours Per Week (Hybrid)
Location: 40 Grosvenor Place London SW1X 7AW
Contract: Full-time permanent

The Medical Secretary will provide secretarial and administrative support of the highest quality to consultants, performing a variety of duties such as handling telephone calls, liaising with patients, scheduling and dealing with all related correspondence. The role will also require effective and sensitive communication with patients to provide a world‑class service and patient experience.

Responsibilities
* Serve as an administrative point of contact and act as a liaison between the patient and consultant. Support the consultant and patient with queries relating to the patient treatment pathway, working collaboratively with the patient access and business office teams to facilitate a seamless patient journey.
* Manage and prioritise multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively under the direction of the Medical Secretary Manager and Clinical Institute Leadership; manage and edit consultant schedules and diaries, coordinating patient appointments and responding to queries from patients, staff and others.
* Correspond with patients via telephone, e‑mail and letter.
* Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g. medical reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.).
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Medical secretary experience working in a private healthcare setting (essential).
* Experience of using Electronic Medical Records systems (essential).
* Proficiency using Microsoft Office (essential).
* Effective and sensitive communication with patients (essential).
* Exceptional prioritisation and organisational skills (essential).
