Mott MacDonald Bentley is a key Asset Delivery Partner for Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, part of their SR27 investment programme. The Enterprise is set to deliver £9bn of major infrastructure investment between 2027 and 2033, enhancing Scotland’s water and wastewater assets. It will help preserve the nation’s world-class water quality, protect the environment and ensure services continue to meet the needs of customer. As part of our appointment to Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, we will deliver projects at sites across Scotland. Works will include major upgrades to treatment assets, new and enhanced networks, and resilience schemes that will benefit communities across the country. 25 years in the water sector Over successive regulatory periods, MMB has delivered a wide range of complex water and wastewater projects that directly support SR27 priorities, including: Enhancing resilience and service reliability through treatment works upgrades, network improvements and resilience schemes Supporting net zero and climate adaptation via low carbon design, nature based solutions and environmental compliance projects Enabling sustainable growth by delivering infrastructure that supports new development and protects existing communities Driving efficiency and affordability through integrated delivery, innovation and collaborative planning Maintaining a strong focus on customers, communities and safety across everything we do We are seeking an experienced Planner who will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects that make a real difference to our environment and communities. These projects range from improving and upgrading water and wastewater treatment works to delivering nature-based solutions that enhance biodiversity. The role of a Planner includes: Develop detailed construction programmes using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) Monitor progress against baseline schedules and update regularly Identify risks, delays, and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies Coordinate with operational, design and commercial staff and subcontractors to align programmes with site and design progress Produce progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts for senior management and clients Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project milestones Support tender planning and bid submissions with realistic programme schedules Maintain accurate records of programme changes and justifications Involvement with collaborative planning What you’ll need: Essential Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (preferred) Experience in large-scale projects within the water sector Proven experience in programme planning within construction or infrastructure projects Familiarity with NEC, JCT, or other standard forms of contract Competency in the use of Primavera P6 and an interest in 4D planning Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, and industry standards Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region Desirable Professional membership (e.g., APM, CIOB, ICE) is advantageous Experience of working in an Enterprise/Alliance arrangement is advantageous What’s in it for you: Alongside our significant training and development investment, bespoke progression plan and support to achieve professional chartership, we offer a wide range of financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
