Overview

Our accommodation team plays a vital role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for young people with high needs. We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Accommodation Night Worker to join our team in Bury St Edmunds.


Responsibilities

* Supervising the building and ensuring all areas are clean, secure, and safe.
* Supporting the admittance of residents and staff during night hours.
* Minimising noise and disruption to maintain a peaceful environment.
* Assisting Accommodation Project Workers with any overnight needs.
* Responding appropriately to incidents and supporting residents with complex needs.


What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

* Experience working with young people with complex needs (not necessarily in a housing context).
* The ability to interact effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, particularly during unsociable hours.
* An understanding of current mental health issues and experience managing challenging behaviour.


Hours, Location and Role Details

Location: Batt House, 56 Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1QG

Role: Permanent Housing Support - Accommodation Night Worker

Hours: Night shifts 10:00pm – 08:00am, four days on, four days off

Salary: Annual salary £25,396.80 per annum
