Job Title: Teaching Assistant (No Formal Qualifications Needed)
Salary: £89–£108 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
We’re working with a supportive SEND school in South Shields that’s looking for a caring, hands-on Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. No formal qualifications are required, just the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, both in class and in small groups
Building positive, trusting relationships with children and staff
Helping pupils to engage with learning and school life
Supporting behaviour, routines, and emotional wellbeing
Working as part of a close-knit, friendly team
What we’re looking for:
Experience working with children or young people (this could be voluntary, care work, or youth work)
A patient, reliable, and proactive attitude
Willingness to undertake training, including Thrive and SEND support
A real commitment to helping every child succeed
