An excellent opportunity has become available for a Mobile Tail Lift Engineer working remotely from home, covering set areas across the UK and Scotland.
This role would ideally suit an experienced Tail Lift Engineer, although consideration would be given to experienced Mechanical/Electrical Engineers and Motor Vehicle Technicians interested in entering the Tail Lift Industry. Successful candidates will receive free training if required.
Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, you will be part of a team of Tail Lift Engineers focusing on the servicing, maintenance, and repair of Tail Lift equipment used on large distribution vehicles.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Servicing and repairing tail lifts, double decks, VBG, Shutter doors, aiming to minimize stock costs and maximize revenue.
2. Liaising with central control or the service centre regarding job start and completion times, downtime, overtime approval, cost updates, and customer purchase orders.
3. Undertaking company training at our dedicated training centre in Aldridge, Birmingham, and pursuing self-development through manufacturer courses and online training modules.
Qualifications:
* Experience as a Tail Lift or Mechanical/Electrical Engineer.
* Experience with electro-mechanical systems, including hydraulics.
* Skills in diagnosing and repairing hydraulics.
* Ability to understand wiring diagrams and electrical fault finding (training provided if needed).
* Welding certification is preferred but not essential (training available).
* NVQ Level in hydraulics/electrics or equivalent experience working to manufacturer standards is desirable.
Additional Information:
Valid UK driving license required. Travel is necessary; a company van and major tools are supplied, along with a fuel card. Additional pay is provided for overnight stays, and travel is paid door-to-door.
We offer a competitive hourly rate, on-call and overtime pay, and a range of benefits including 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, product discounts, work uniform, and health benefits.
Expected earnings range between £40,000 and £50,000 annually.
