About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories, just like everyone else. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing fundraising events. Whether you’re encouraging Residents to socialise more confidently, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care home team, your approach will be rooted in kindness.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. Effective time management and considerate communication with Residents and colleagues are also important.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
We provide full training, presenting a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will have access to various benefits supporting your well-being and career development, including:
* This is a part-time role, 24 hours per week.
* The hourly rate depends on experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* A nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more
