We have an exciting opportunity for Surveyors to join the Area Based and Low-Rise Block Management team and the High Rise Management and Investment team. Low Rise Block Management Service
The Building Surveyors will assist in developing and implementing this Service, planning and delivering workloads and programmes. Managers aim to use innovative approaches, leveraging data to inform plans, develop strategies, and consider policy changes to improve tenants' homes. The Surveyors should have a customer-centred approach and, depending on experience, may supervise and mentor Surveying Assistants and Apprentices.
The low-rise block management service handles diverse tasks, including capital works for sustainability, fabric improvements, cyclical replacements (kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, entry systems), estate improvements, and adaptations. The team collaborates closely with local Housing teams to ensure communication and engagement.
High Rise Management & Investment
The successful candidate will deliver building surveying and contract management services to 50 high-rise blocks, using innovative construction methods as part of the Whole House Retrofit Strategy, ensuring sustainability and quality improvements. You will work with external design teams and contractors on large retrofit and upgrade projects, including ongoing projects valued at around £250m and a £60m fire safety programme.
We seek candidates with initiative, innovation, and a desire to support tenants and owners during works. You should be confident in supporting a busy team, possess strong communication skills, and have relevant qualifications, knowledge of tenement legislation, and experience in project management, procurement, surveys, and report writing. You should be comfortable explaining technical reports and attending occasional evening meetings.
