Raffle Processing Volunteer (18yrs & over) Make a difference… one ticket at a time At Derian House Children’s Hospice, it’s often the little things that make the biggest impact. Our raffles help raise vital funds to support children and families, and we’re looking for reliable, detail-focused volunteer to help us behind the scenes here at the hospice in Chorley. What is a Raffle Processing Volunteer? Every raffle ticket tells a story of support. As a Raffle Processing Volunteer, you’ll help us turn that support into real care by processing entries with accuracy and care. You’ll be part of a friendly team making sure every ticket is counted and every detail is recorded. What you’ll be doing - Opening and sorting returned raffle tickets and donations - Carefully recording entries and supporter details - Supporting simple admin and data entry tasks - Keeping information safe, secure, and confidential - Working alongside a friendly team to prepare for raffle draws You’ll love this role if you… - Enjoy calm, organised tasks where attention to detail matters - Take pride in getting things right - Are happy working as part of a team - Want to make a difference in a practical, behind the scenes way - Love the idea that even the smallest task can have a big impact What’s in it for you? - A warm welcome into the Derian family - The chance to meet new people and feel part of a team - Flexible volunteering that fits around you - Valuable experience in admin and data handling - That feel-good moment of knowing your time is helping children and families when they need it most Please note: Time commitment: Monday to Friday - flexible hours available. Training: Full site induction & mandatory online training will be provided Please note: The minimum age for volunteering in this role is 21 years. We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent criminal convictions in advance of a DBS check. All volunteers are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided free of charge.
