About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and hands‑on Operations Team Leader to join our MVS Coventry team. Reporting to the Operations Manager you’ll oversee the day‑to‑day running of the department – supervising both administrative and operational activities while leading a team that keeps vehicle movements safe, efficient and on schedule.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Oversee daily operations for vehicle arrivals processing and dispatch.
* Supervise and support the team - including performance management, absence management, training and engagement.
* Ensure all vehicles are correctly booked, tagged and tracked in CAMS.
* Check outbound units update key details (V5s, keys, SD cards, mileage etc.) and allocate stock locations.
* Liaise with other departments (QC, Customer Support, Technical) to resolve dispatch issues and delays.
* Manage driver interactions and ensure vehicle loads are complete and ready for dispatch.
* Maintain health safety and quality standards at all times.
* Identify and report any process or system issues promptly.
* Support the wider operations team with ad‑hoc tasks to ensure smooth yard operations.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong leadership and communication skills able to motivate, guide and manage a team.
* Confident handling performance issues investigations and disciplinary processes.
* Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
* Attention to detail even under pressure.
* Good IT literacy (CAMS experience an advantage).
* A proactive calm and professional approach to work and customer interactions.
* Full UK driving licence.
