W Talent are working with a large, well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in Ripley, Derbyshire who are now looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader. Working Monday to Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm and Fridays, 7:30am-4:00pm, you will lead, manage and support a dedicated warehouse team ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

The Role
As the new Warehouse Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, supervising a team, while maintaining high standards, and ensuring targets are achieved. You will lead by example, promoting teamwork, safety, and operational excellence across all areas of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise warehouse staff in line with company policies and procedures.
* Provide day-to-day direction and oversight of warehouse operations.
* Communicate effectively with management and other departments on operational issues.
* Monitor performance and quality to ensure company standards are maintained.
* Lead by example and promote a positive, team-focused working culture.
* Coordinate warehouse activities and projects to ensure deadlines are met.
* Conduct staff reviews, training, mentoring, appraisals, and recruitment where required.
* Support and sustain 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Evaluate warehouse processes and suggest improvements based on analysis.
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure all stock movements are completed in full and on time.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
Skills & Requirements:
* Positive work ethic and enthusiastic, hands-on approach.
* Previous experience in a warehouse or production leadership role.
* Strong communication and people management skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
* Experience carrying out quality checks and maintaining high standards.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability.
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary £34,000 to £36,500
* Monday - Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm; Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
