Are you an experienced Workshop or Bodyshop professional with strong supervisory skills? We’re looking for a motivated Workshop Supervisor to join our clients team in Corby.
* Location: Corby
* Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) or Perm Night Shift Available.
* Contract: Permanent
* Pay: £21.60 per hour (overtime and unsociable hours paid at enhanced rates)
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that all vehicle repairs are completed to the highest standards, while driving efficiency, safety and team performance. Key responsibilties may include:
* Oversee and monitor vehicle repairs, ensuring quality and compliance with manufacturer instructions.
* Direct, support and motivate the Workshop Team to achieve KPIs including productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction and profitability.
* Act as the main point of contact for job card queries, repair methods, parts issues and team welfare.
* Supervise day-to-day work, providing training, guidance and performance feedback.
* Ensure efficient use of resources to meet or exceed budget targets.
* Monitor and report daily performance, highlighting progress and incidents to management.
* Uphold and enforce Health & Safety standards, with a strong focus on accident prevention.
* Support workflow planning and staff utilisation to maximise efficiency.
* Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and records.
About you:
* Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Bodyshop / Workshop environment, with proven supervisory experience.
* Technical knowledge: Background as a Paint Sprayer, Panel Beater or similar is desirable.
* Leadership skills: Able to delegate, motivate and lead a team by example.
* Problem solving: Commercially aware with strong decision-making skills.
* Health & Safety: Fully conversant with relevant regulations.
Other Requirements:
* Valid UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, no DR offences).
* PC literate with Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Flexible, adaptable and self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
