Credit Control Assistant

Beyond Talent Solutions are currently working with a well established business in South Doncaster, to recruit a Credit Control Assistant. Joining a friendly, established finance team, you will be able to grow, learn and progress. This role sits at the heart of the finance function, supporting both credit control and broader transactional duties while you build up strong, practical experience.
What you’ll be doing:
Looking after customer accounts - following up on overdue payments, sending statements and maintaining strong relationships
Processing credit notes in line with approvals or returned goods
Allocating and reconciling incoming payments (BACS, card, cheque) using Sage
Raising and sending customer invoices
Keeping customer records and portals accurate and up to date
Producing reports such as aged debt and customer account activity
Handling queries from customers and internal teams
Running credit checks and keeping an eye on customer risk
Pitching in and supporting the wider finance team during busy periods
About you:
Interested in developing a long‑term career in finance
Accurate, organised and confident communicating with customers and colleagues
Comfortable using Excel and finance systems (Sage is a bonus)
Proactive, keen to learn and happy to get stuck in
