As our Test Lead, youll help shape Riverfords future.
As our Test Lead, youll help shape how we build and deliver technology at Riverford, making sure quality is part of the process from the start. Youll report into our Director of Enterprise Solutions.
This is an exciting time to join our team as were modernising key parts of our tech stack and how we work. Youll play a key role in helping to make sure these changes land smoothly.
This is a hands-on role, so youll spend most of your time getting stuck into the detail by testing systems with a mix of automation and manual approaches to make sure things work as they should.
As there is no dedicated test team, youll also work closely with architects, engineers, analysts, partners and teams across the business to keep testing standards high by building good practices into everyday work not just at the end. Its about supporting and guiding people to make testing a natural part of how we all work.
Salary: Up to £55k per annum DOE
Location - We encourage flexitime and hybrid working, based at Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU.
Hours - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, different working patterns can be considered.
What Youll Bring
* Proven ability to design testing and test automation approaches for complex enterprise systems (both off the shelf and built in-house).
* Hands-on experience of test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates, scripting, and one or more test management tools.
* Experience testing APIs, end-to-end system integrations, and event-driven architectures.
* Ability to work in agile and waterfall environments, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Any of these are a plus
o Experience of IFS (or another major ERP platform), Oracle DB, Clojure (or another functional programming language), hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
o Sector experience in food and drink, retail, logistics, or e-commerce.
o Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, ITIL, or equivalent.
